Christmas Giving

12 December 2018

Farebrother were proud to be part of Better Bankside's "Together at Christmas" campaign this year.  This gift appeal makes a difference to the lives of local homeless, vulnerably housed and elderly people.  We hosted a collection box in our office and generous staff donated a variety of much needed items.  With colleagues from our joint venture partners, we attended one of the gift wrapping sessions at St. Mungo's Recovery College Hall where we wrapped over 160 presents specifically for Look Ahead, Alone in London, Night Stop, Key Worth Hostel and Wren Road Hostel.

South Downs Way Walked!

1 October 2018

A walk they said, 120km they said, South Downs Way they said, easy they said….It was, without question, the toughest thing the team have ever done. The hour upon hour upon hour, the savage, unending hills, the uneven terrain and the injuries and blisters!! The rain on Saturday didn’t help, it certainly made the last couple of hours utterly miserable, but, despite all that, they made it, every single one of the 120km and just inside the 48 hour mark that they had set.  Team spirit and comradery kept them going, not to mention the many people they know battling this horrible disease as well as knowing how much of a difference the funds raised would make to the charity.
